Database size onpremise after moving to cloud(hybrid)

Hello.

I wonder what should happen with database after migration user to cloud. If user account is about 10gb should database be smaller after migrating this user?

I got hybrid configuration with exch2013. I moved  couple of user but database on premise is still the same size.

A few things have to happen first, once the move completes it the mailbox is soft deleted, meaning while its not active it still resides on the mailbox database for whatever the option is to keep deleted mailboxes is set for (default is 14 days) once the 14 days is up, the mailbox will then be deleted.  Once that happens the actual space the database is taking up on the disk will not shrink, instead there will be whitespace created inside of the database that Exchange to use to populate.  If you want to actually shrink the amount of space the database is taking up, then you will need to dismount the database and run an offline defrag.  or you can just move everyone to the cloud and delete teh edb file :)
