Hello, I'm building a new Exchange 2010 server and recently ran into some issues adding a 4th hard drive to my RAID5 array so I had to remove the logical drive and create a new RAID5 logical drive including the new 4th hard drive. Unfortunately I did not move my EDB's prior to so now my EMC shows both the mailbox database & public folders as 'dismounted'. I am able to use 'Move Database' to reset my path for both but when I try to mount each database it fails with the error below. I even tried removing each database but that doesn't work either. I think datbase is not able to see the logs and had dirty shutdown state. how about the logs? Must copy th ebackup to datbase can look for the last updated logs.Where Technology Meets Talent

I had the same thing happen to me some time ago. Having lost the logs does not help either. If I remember correctly, in addition to creating new databases, you will need to remove any reference to the old ones from AD; you'll have to dig deep with ADSIedit. Also, you need to re-create the system and federated mailboxes.
