If you install Exchange with the same names for the organization and server then you should be able to mount the old databases on the new server. --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP

I'm not understanding what you mean. E-mail isn't replicated, it's just deposited in a mailbox. I'm guessing that you just created a new mailbox for yourself instead of connecting the one in the restored database to your user. In that case, create another user and then use the "Disconnected mailbox" item in the "Recipient Configuration" to connect the old mailbox to the new user. You can use the export-mailbox command to combine the two. --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP

I would avoid installing Exchange and DC on the same server. If you have Exchange on a different server, you could have recovered Exchange easier with the recover switch for Active Directory-related objects that belongs to Exchange. If you have no backups, your chance of recovery is very slim; you need to start all over.

Try running "Clean-MailboxDatabase" on the database. --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP
