DB FAILURE.
Hi, This is muthu i am working in a compnay where around 15 servers(exchange 2003)& around 20k mailboxes are there. we are using daily full online backup. one of my database went down. we have reapired the db and put back. but some data has lost. does any one tell me what is the best practice to avoid the db corruption & how to overcome on it. Hi, In my experience database corruption happens very seldom if databases are located on good disks configured in some form of RAID. If possible you should always restore the databse after a corruption. A repair of a database will often cause data loss - a restore should get the database up to the minute without any data loss and if the databases are not too big should be as fast or faster than a repair.
