Hi
DAG IP = Cluster IP.
Good read:

Hello,
Dag ip address is cluster ip address. Each DAG requires a minimum of one IP address on the MAPI network. A DAG requires additional IP addresses when the MAPI network is extended across multiple subnets.
Please refer to the "DAG Name and IP Address Requirements" section in the following article: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd638104(EXCHG.140).aspx

I am slightly confused. I thought the DAG replaced the cluster.
I have created a DAG with 4 primary databases on one server and copies on the other.
Were does the cluster come into play and how does it get setup without redoing the DAG stuff
Thanks

Hello,
A DAG is initially created as an empty object in Active Directory. This directory object is used to store relevant information about the DAG, such as server membership information. When you add the first server to a DAG, a failover cluster is automatically created for the DAG. This failover cluster is used exclusively by the DAG, and the cluster must be dedicated to the DAG.
