DAG Database replication issue
Hi All, We have 2 sites and 3 Mailbox servers. Two mailbox DAG servers are located in primary site and the remaining server is in the DR site. In the primary site we have altogether 5 Exchange Databases belonging to various entities. We have established a WAN link between these sites and we have also been able to achieve DAG replication between all the databases in these 2 sites except for one. When we try to create a database copy for the database mentioned above, the process seems to complete, but in the end we get this error. Log Name: Application Source: MSExchange Configuration Cmdlet - Remote Management Date: 7/28/2010 10:27:19 AM Event ID: 4 Task Category: General Level: Error Keywords: Classic User: N/A Computer: nbnjutfydi10o1.jut.npe.tbg Description: (PID 8568, Thread 119) Task Add-MailboxDatabaseCopy writing error when processing record of index 0. After encountering this error, and we click finish, we notice that the copy queue column of the database copy that we just added gets reduced by a few counts and then stays stagnant at a value around 68397. It increases and then decreases but does not seem to be going below this value. Also the status of the database is shown as synchronizing. Any help will be appreciated. Thank You. M.R.Pai

E0000000494.log exists in the source nbnjutfydi10o2.jut.npe.tbg, right? Please increase the diagnostic logging level for replication service on the source and the target, reproduce the issue, and then monitor the events James Luo TechNet Subscriber Support (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/subscriptions/ms788697.aspx) If you have any feedback on our support, please contact tngfb@microsoft.com

Thank You for your help. We first removed the database that was failing from the DR server. Once we removed the database, we made sure that Active Directory Replication happened between the sites and verified using replmon. Once this was done, we initiated the Database Copy from the DR server. Worked like a charm. :-) Thank you!!M.R.Pai
