DAG - obsolete member list

Good morning,

I'm trying to uninstall Exchange 2013 from one of my servers and the readiness check fails with an error about the DAG/Cluster.

Error:

This computer is a member of a database availability group (DAG). It must be removed from the DAG before you can uninstall Exchange.

For more information, visit: http://technet.microsoft.com/library(EXCHG.150)/ms.exch.setupreadiness.CannotUninstallClusterNode.aspx

I had previously removed the server in question (Exchange04) from the DAG, and running the GUI (Exchange Admin Center, Failover Cluster MMC) and PS tools seems to confirm it's no longer a DAG member:

[PS] C:\Windows\system32>Get-DatabaseAvailabilityGroup

Name             Member Servers                                                          Operational Servers
----             --------------                                                          -------------------
Exchange-DAG     {EXCHANGE05}

However, it's still being linked to the DAG somewhere and I'd like to be able to sort this out and move on. I'd appreciate any ideas.

Thanks,

Greg

A couple of things to try.

Run Set-DatabaseAvailabilityGroup with no swiches and try again.

If that doesnt work,

From an elevated prompt on the server you want to remove:

cluster node nodename /forcecleanup

Terrific! Thanks!

I ran both commands (including some variations on set-databaseavailabiltygroup), although I believe it's the 'cluster node' command that actually did something. In any case, I got past the Exchange check which I was very glad about.
