Custom systemmassage warningmailbox not used for warnings
Hi, Yesterday I managed to set custom systemmassages for the quota mailbox warning. In English and in German (EN/DE). If I do a "get-systemmessage...warningmailbox". I get my custom messages. I restartet the information store service and the transport service. To test the new message, I today activated the quota warning message for my mailbox and set the schedule a few minutes in the future. Nevertheless, I'm still getting the default warning message. I read all the MS articles how to set-,get-, or remove- the systemmessage warningmailbox but there is nothing about the restarts or the cache problem I read about on forum. So what else can I do to trigger the Exchange to use my custom messages? What is the procedure to activate them? Is a restart of a service really needed? If so this should totally be mentioned in the documentation! Cheers, mav2000ger

Even after a reboot of the mailserver the message is still not updated. Get-Systemmessage still shows my custom text... Any ideas?

If had not done these steps I would not be writing here...

Hi, By the way, can you get the custom message? If not, please try the following commands according to the link http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb232089(EXCHG.80).aspx : New-SystemMessage -QuotaMessageType WarningMailbox -Language EN -Text "My custom quota message." New-SystemMessage -QuotaMessageType ProhibitSendMailbox -Language EN -Text "Your new message" New-SystemMessage -QuotaMessageType ProhibitSendReceiveMailbox -Language EN -Text "Your New message" And then restart the MSExchangeTransport Service on the HT servers and check the result. Hope it helps. ThanksSophia Xu TechNet Community Support
