Crystal report to Excel

Hi

I have downloaded data from crystal report. There are over 100 thousand records. If I export to excel around 65000 records are exported. This could be one of the reason, I could not use filter to analyze the data.

Any ways to export all 100 thousand records to excel or access.

Please help.

Re:  missing data

Well, I was going to ignore your post as I have never used crystal report.
But there may be a couple of basic issues involved.

Are you exporting to Excel?  If so, the issue may be with the application that does the Exporting.
If you are using Excel to import the data, then it may be an Excel issue.
You need to provide more details.

In addition,  it so happens that Excel versions xl97 thru xl2003 have ~65,000 rows per worksheet.
Later versions (with the Ribbon) have ~1,000,000 rows per worksheet.
If you are trying to add 100,000 rows of data to a worksheet with 65,000 rows then spliting the data into two sections, before exporting, may be required or some custom Excel vba code might work.

Dear Jim

Thanks for your reply.

I am using Excel 2010 version.

There are only 65000 rows as per below screen shot in above version.

Please advise for changing setting to accomodate 1 million rows.

Best Wishes

Dear Jim,

I fixed the issue.

When I tried to export the data from crystal report to Excel, I choosed to export date in excel 97 format. Afterwhich, eventhough I use Excel 2010 to open the file, it is displaying 65000 rows.

Alternatively, I tried to export the data to CSV file. I tried to open this CSV file with excel 2010. Wonderful. I could see all the data, which counts to 197000 rows.

Your reply helped me to think further and without which above could not happen.

Thanks for your help.

Best Wishes

M Muthu.
