Curious about how to create a bootable usb flashdrive or external hard drive that will help me override a Ghost 2.XX software that will not allow me to boot from any of my options in bios. Any ideas??? I have tried formatting two external hard drives and one USB flash drive and making them bootable with Windows 8 and Windows XP.
Hi,
You could follow these steps to create Bootable USB Flash drive:
Step 1. Format your USB drive as FAT32 from Disk Management
Step 2. Right Click on the drive of your USB drive in Disk Management and then click on "Mark Partition as Active".
Step 3. Extract the files from *.iso to the root of the USB drive. Note, you can use 7zip to extract the ISO files.
Step 4. Reboot and enter CMOS settings to enable booting from removal devices (if it is not enabled) and then configure the Boot Sequence to allow boot from USB/removal media/devices.
In addition, this is just Microsoft Office Forum, not for Windows client issue. We recommend you consult to Windows client forum for more professional solution:
