Create new appointment by right-click on calendar: opens the new appointment window, but it's out of sight
The non-subscription version of Office 2013 (Technet) opened the new appointment windows and gave it focus. The subscription version of Office 2013 does not give the new window focus so it is easily mistaken for failin

I've installed Office 2013 by Click2Run method, but the option is over there after right click on calendar.

Please create a new Outlook profile to test the behavior.

Hello Tony, (ni hao?)

From this part of your message " but the option is over there after right click on calendar."

I don't think you understand my issue.

When I right-click on a time block and select new appointment, everything works the way it is expected to EXCEPT, instead of the new appointment window getting focus, the calendar page keeps the focus.

Things did NOT work this way with Office 2013 Pro.

Ni hao, Jim:)

Sorry for my misunderstanding. Now I know better, but I tried to create a new appointment by right-click on time block, the new appointment window pop-up and get focus as expected.

Have you tried to test the behavior in Outlook safe mode. ("Outlook.exe /safe") I suspect there might be some add-ins effects that.

Create a new profile to test is also proposed.

Cheers,
Tony Chen

Somewhere, in my other question I think, I reported that the new profile did resolve this problem of 'focus' but did not resolve the problem of "save and close" only saving but not closing.
