Create a new mailbox-enabled user account
I am using Exchange 2003..How can I create a user mailbox without actually creating an account in AD. Is this even possible? I am a novice at Exchange so any direction would be greatly appreciated.

Exchange is tied into AD. If you want a mailbox, you have to create an AD account.
You can create e-mail distribution lists without, but not mailboxes.
