Create Public Contacts Folders Exch 2007
I am configuring an Exchange 2007 server (SP2) and have one last issue: I am unable to create a public contacts folder (ala Exch 2003). We want all users to be able to share a set of contacts, in addition to their personal (private) contacts. I was able to successfully grant all the necessary permissions but, using the Public Folder Management Console, the only New Public Folder option available (under Default Public Folders) is to create what appears to be an e-mail folder; no Contacts or Address Book folder. I realize the problem may be that I’m thinking in terms of Exch 2003 but have no other point of reference. Question 2: I have exported the public contacts from my Exch 2003 server into a PST file. Is there a method other than the traditional Import | Contacts I that should be using to bring those contacts into the new public folder? Our organization is very small; we have just one Exchange 2007 server and fewer than 25 users. We have users with both Outlook 2003 & 2007 clients. I appreciate any assistance. Michael

Hi, As far as I understand u can only create Contact public folder using outlook, as a sub public folder. They will appear in exchange. Regards,Laeeq Qazi|Team Lead(Exchange + Sharepoint + BES + DynamicsCRM) www.HostingController.com
