Crashing after install

I upgraded from Office 2010 Pro Plus to Office 2013 Pro Plus (32-bit) on a Windows 7 32-bit machine. The upgrade completed successfully but I cannot open any of the new Office 2013 programs. Once we try to open one, it immediately crashes on us. I will attach the logs from the app log on the PC below. I have tried removing Office 2010 completely first and then doing a new install of 2013 but that fails with the same errors as well. I do not want to spend alot of time on this, so if there is no easy fix, I will just reformat the PC.

Hi,

How did you uninstall Office 2010 from your computer?

The log is generic and lots of reasons can cause this kind of crash. Sometimes, the remnants from previous version of Office will cause unexpected behavior. I would suggest we try to run Microsoft Fix It tool to remove any traces from the previous version of Office, then restart computer and try to install Office 2013 again.

Some third part softwares on the computer might also interfere with Office 2013. Please also have a try in Windows clean boot, and see if issue persists.

Hope it helps.

I tried the FixIt and doing a clean boot but the same problem occurs. I ended up reformatting the PC. This is the 2nd time I have ran into an issue with upgrading from Office 2007 to Office 2013. I have a few hundred more PC's to go yet. Sure hope this doesn't continue to happen. Reformatting the PC and starting from scratch takes alot of extra time.
