Corrupted e-mail addresses sent in a list
We have an ongoing problem with exchange 2003, this only happens to one or 2 addresses (That we are aware of) an outside agency sends an e-mail to multiple addresses using a list. When we get the mail it has extra characters added such as >sch etc obvioulsly this is then given an NDR and the recipient doesn't receive the mail. The same people can send a mail direct to the user and this gets through with no issues. We have asked the senders to check their mailing lists with no errors found. We are running Exchange 2003 including OWA running SMTP, on an STD dialup to Demon. The only other software linked to the exchange is our spam filter GFI Mail Essentials. The network is running over Server 2003 SP2

Try disabled the GFI Mail Essentials and test. Can you send email to the same lists from hotmail/google? If yes, then the issue is most likely on the senders side.Sukh
