Converting a mailbox in Exchange 2007 (SBS 2008)--Permission Error
I keep getting a 4003--insufficient access rights error in the powershell when I try to convert a mailbox from a user to a room. I originally created a User called "office" and gave all users access to the calendar. Then, after researching the new features of 2007, I wanted to convert the mailbox to be a resource mailbox.I researched how to convert a mailbox from user to a resource, and opened a powershell, and entered the command, "Set-Mailbox Office -Type Room".I got this from http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb201749.aspxI got an "insufficient access rights." I am logged in as the user assigned domain administrator role.To attempt to resolve, I specifically gave my user Exchange recipient administrator role, and specifically assigned the user full access to the Office mailbox. Is there a trick to this in SBS 2008?

Hi Jerry, Is it happening for all mailboxes or only one mailbox? Did you try with another recipient admin account? You can dig more by doing these. Additionally, create a fresh account and give just Exchange Recipient Admin rights (don't give domain admin) and test the similar thing...

I resolved this by running the command shell as administrator, thanks.
