I am trying to convert my Outlook 2011 for Mac OLM files to PST using Outlook 2013 (for Windows). But, neither I nor several conversion tools I have tried can find the OLM files. I copied my "Main Identity" file from my MacBook Pro's hard disk to my new Windows 8 machine. But, even searching on ".olm" turns up nothing.  Where are these OLM files that I thought would be somewhere in Main Identity? I have found some OLK files (temporary attachment caches) so I think I'm looking in the right place. Note that my MacBoook is dead (motherboard crashed). But I do have the hard disk accessible.

Currently, we dont have an official solution to convert OLM files to PST files. Since your query is directly about to how to recover Outlook 2011 data files from a crashed Mac Book, I would suggest you to post in the forum of Office for Mac, where you can get more experienced responses:

Usually, you can move the mail into an imap account if your own account doesn't support it, then add the account to outlook for windows and the mail will be downloaded.

For your case, since your Mac Book is dead, I think you can conside to use some third party tools (please note I don't want to spam here).

Or move to the forum of Office for Mac and see if any experts there can help on this one.

Currently, we dont have an official solution to convert OLM files to PST files.

As a workaround, rather than buying commercial program, you can do this with an IMAP account:

1. Create a IMAP account, and then add it into Outlook 2011 for MAC and Outlook for Windows.
2. Moving the mail messages into the IMAP account on Outlook 2011 for Mac first. (Simply drag emails into a IMAP folder)
3. The mail will download into Outlook on Windows.
