Can we convert basic disk to dynamic disk that has exchange database? do we have to dismount the store before disk conversion? Appreciate your help Johny

Hi - this isn't really an Exchange question per se. I personally wouldn't do it, but if you must, yes, dismount the store (also make sure you have a verified, good full backup first).Lanwench ** Do not fold, spindle or mutilate. Fill in the box completely and erase any stray marks. Use only a #2 pencil.

The answer to both of your questions is yes. You will need to dismount the database and there is always a possibility of issues after conversion. I would recommend not doing it or if you have to then add some additional storage, move the database to the new storage, do your conversion and then move the database back.Tim Harrington - Catapult Systems - http://HowDoUC.blogspot.com
