Convert Public Folder to User Mailbox
Is there a quick and "easy" way to convert Public Folders to say disabled user accounts with a normal mailbox? What would be the best way of moving the data from the Public Folder to the mailbox? Thanks,

If it is a mail-enabled Public Folder then there is not an option to convert it to a Mailbox. The easiest approach would be is to use outlook with an account that has appropriate permissions to access the Public Folder and export the data to a PST. After the Public Folder data has been exported to a PST, then login with the mailbox that you want to have that data and import the PST into that Mailbox.MCITP: Enterprise Messaging Administrator 2007/2010 | MCITP: Server Administrator | MCTS: Windows Server 2008 Applications Infrastructure, Configuring | MCP | MCDST

Hi, You cann't convert the Public Folder to a disabled user with a normal mailbox. Since the mail enabled Public Folder is only a proxy object in Public Folder Store. Thanks AllenAllen Song
