Connection to Exchange from Outlook 2007
I am having problems connecting to the Exhcange 2007 server through outlook 2007. It appears that connecting in a SBS2008 environment will not connect outlook to the exchange server although it does state that it is connected and until an attempt is made to use some of exchange program features it states the Exchange server is unavailable. If on the other hadn I used Outlook Web Access there is no problems accessing the Exchange server. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Was SBS 2008 setup with all of the wizards? Including running those that configure the Internet and the domain name? The wizards make a number of changes to the configuration of Exchange, which allow Outlook to connect using its preferred name of "remote.example.com" (where example.com is your public domain name configured in the wizard). Confirm if autodiscover is working - with Outlook running, right click on the Outlook icon in the system tray while holding down CTRL. Choose test email auto configuration. Deselect the second and third option. Run the process and see if it reports a failure, or not. Simon.Simon Butler, Exchange MVP. http://blog.sembee.co.uk , http://exbpa.com/
