Connect existent Exchange 2007 database to the new domain
I've lose both domain controllers and make a new one (Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise) with different name for server and same name for domain. In Management Console no the my Exchange Controller I've clicks Modify Domain Controller and all mailboxes disappears from console. 1. Can I return mailboxes and link they to new users in domain? 2. Can I export old domain usernames from this exhange servers? Thank you.

If the original AD forest is truly gone, then no, you cant link the mailboxes to the new forest since all that configuration information for Exchange and the mail-enabled objects is gone. I would look at building a new Exchange org, creating new mailboxes and using 3rd party tools to recover the Exchange data and import to the new mailboxes. Tools such as: http://www.lucid8.com/product/products.asp http://www.quest.com/recovery-manager-for-exchange/

Hello themmag, This is just based on whether your original AD forest is gone or not. If it is gone, you cannot do anything on the Exchange Server, just follow Andy's suggestion to do that. Because Exchange Server need to get information from AD, if your original AD is gone, anything can been done on the Exchange Server. Thanks, Evan Evan Liu TechNet Community Support
