Configuring Mailbox Sent Items Behaviour

Good Morning everyone,

We are trying to configure sent items so that messages are stored in sent items of the shared mailbox and not in sent items folder of the user that send the message. We heard that cmdlets will be available for exchange 2013 in CU9 but if I try to configure it I run into this message Set-MailboxSentItemsConfiguration : The term 'Set-MailboxSentItemsConfiguration' is not recognized as the name of a cmd. Is there anyone who knows the solution for this?

Thank you in advanced

Hello Sneff,

After running set-mailbox <mailbox name> -MessageCopyForSentAsEnabled $True i run into this error A parameter cannot be found that matches parameter name 'MessageCopyForSentAsEnabled'.

Is that means that we didn't got new cmdlets with CU9.

Note: if after installation of Exchange 2013 CU9 in an on-premises environment you do not see the new CMDlet parameters, you should run /preparead explicitly with CU9 setup.

Does this means that we need to run cu9 setup again?

Hi guys,

We have a similar issue and question is do we have to run whole cu9 from the beggining or is it okay to run this command and only add it to cu9. We have 2 exchange servers and cu9 took 6 hours to complete. Does anyone know something about this?
