Configure Exchange 2010 to Accept E-Mail for More Than One Authoritative Domain
hi all, i have Exchange 2010 organization for domain abc.com, and another company xyz.com which hosting their exchange with the ISP i want to make them use my exchange server as their email provider, i have the following link for the configuration http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa996314.aspx my question is regarding the MX for the xyz.com company they have to change their it to point to the same IP address abc.com company pointing to or a new IP? and during the change of the MX record what will happen to the emails they receive? thanks for the reply, do i need to have a new IP address for the new MX record on my firewall or i can point the same IP i already have.Tarek Khairy

MX records don't use IP addresses, they refer to "A" records.
