Colons & semi colons are not aligning properly in Word 2013.

Hi Support,

When we set a colon & semi-colon in Word, outlook 2013,it is not aligning in straight line. When we send the word document in email, the recipient says that the alignment are changed like colon & semi-colon are not in proper format.

The screenshots are attached for your reference.

Please let me know how to align colon & semi-colon in proper format and also it will not get changed while we sending to others.

Your support is highly appreciated.

Hi,

How did you place the columns and semi columns? Have you tried placing them using Tabs?

Most fonts do not have a fixed character width (with the exception, of course, of mono-spaced fonts such as Courier New) which explains why you can't align text by entering multiple spaces. Instead, use custom tab stops, as others have suggested. Sometimes it is more convenient to create a table, with or without borders.
