Coexistence Exchange 2003 and Exchange 2007 different forest
hi guys, I got single forest domain A.com with Exchange 2003, and another forest B.com with all the user connected the exchange A.com by using POP3, MAPI, IMAP but the policy email using domain B.com. I want to install exchange 2007 at forest and domain B.com, how do I perform the coexistence or the migration? I want to move all the mailbox to the new exchange server.rgds, Krisna

Bringing up the server in the same organization as the old one is always a whole lot easier. If you are going to install it in the same forest as the old server, then you have no choice--that's the only way. -- Ed Crowley MVP "There are seldom good technological solutions to behavioral problems." . yes I know that if in the same org it will be a lot easier, but the problem is all the user login to A.com but using the exchange at B.com, so what should I do about the migration process from exchange A.com to B.com?rgds, Krisna

Are you planning to migrate the accounts? -- Ed Crowley MVP "There are seldom good technological solutions to behavioral problems." . I want all the users specially for the director don't feel the changes too much and I'm planning to move the mailbox for my branch office first. So for example I've got 200 user for branch office, I want to put in to exchange 2007, meanwhile there's 200 user for headquarter still in exchange 2003. Can you explain how to do this, so the mail flow undisturbed.rgds, Krisna

hello This seems to be Cross Org migration of Exchange 2003 to 2007, You need to migrate first the active directory accounts and then move-mailboxes from one org to another. Please refer to this article http://msexchangeteam.com/archive/2006/11/02/430289.aspx Thanks Mhussain
