Co-existence issue with 2007 utility box with 2013 accounts. Missing HomeMDB

I have a tough one here. My co-existence and migration from exchange 2007 to 2013 is going pretty well and I have moved around half of the users. I discovered a problem today when a user that resides on a 2013 server tried to open another utility 2007 mailbox in OWA. Basically it throws an HTTP 500 error.

I cannot open the utility mailbox from the 2013 ECP. Cannot open mailbox with a microsoft system attendant error. So first I try moving the utility mailbox from 2007 to 2013, it fails with an error that saying it cannot find the address list service on the 2013 Mailbox server, so I try restarting that MSA service on the 2007 box, no luck.

Im eventually lead to a missing entries in the HomeMDB field in ADSIEDIT. So I copy the string from the working 2007 box and edit it according to reflect the 2013 server info. But when I try to apply I get the following:

Operation Failed Error 0x20b5 The name reference is invalid

000020B5 AtrErr: DSID-03152A9F, #1 0:000020B5: DSID-03152A9F, problem 1005 (Constraint_ATT_TYPE), data 0, att 8d61635c (homeMDB)

Here is the string I am trying to input (edited for security reasons)

CN=Mailbox Database,CN="NAME OF DATABASE",CN=InformationStore,CN="SERVER NAME",CN=Servers,CN=Exchange Administrative Group (FYDIBOHF23SPDLT),CN=Administrative Groups,CN=Exchange,CN=Microsoft Exchange,CN=Services,CN=Configuration,DC="DOMAIN NAME",DC=local

Im fairly new to exchange so im hoping some experts here might be able to guide me a bit.

It looks like the user DN is invalid. Try the following if it resolve the issue :

CN=Joe,CN=Users,c=us,o=Microsoft

Moreover, while doing the migration from Exchange 2007 to 2013, you may also consider on this automated software (http://www.exchangemailboxmigration.com/) that could be a better alternative approach to accomplish this task in more hassle-free manner.

I'd reset the settings and will try to move the 2007 mbx to another database on the 2007. I'd also try to dismount and remount the database.  and keep watching the event logs
