Cluster service keeps terminating on 1 server
Several times this afternoon the cluster service on one our of Exchange 2010 servers has terminated with different errors. 1) The Cluster Service service terminated with service-specific error A quorum of cluster nodes was not present to form a cluster.. 2) The Cluster Service service terminated with service-specific error The wait operation timed out.. Over assiocated errors include: File share witness resource 'File Share Witness (\\FILESERVER1.CURRICULUM.RIDDLESDOWN.LOCAL\RIDDLESDOWNDAG1.CURRICULUM.RIDDLESDOWN.LOCAL)' failed to arbitrate for the file share '\\FILESERVER1.CURRICULUM.RIDDLESDOWN.LOCAL\RIDDLESDOWNDAG1.CURRICULUM.RIDDLESDOWN.LOCAL'. Please ensure that file share '\\FILESERVER1.CURRICULUM.RIDDLESDOWN.LOCAL\RIDDLESDOWNDAG1.CURRICULUM.RIDDLESDOWN.LOCAL' exists and is accessible by the cluster. Cluster resource 'File Share Witness (\\FILESERVER1.CURRICULUM.RIDDLESDOWN.LOCAL\RIDDLESDOWNDAG1.CURRICULUM.RIDDLESDOWN.LOCAL)' in clustered service or application 'Cluster Group' failed. The Cluster service is shutting down because quorum was lost. This could be due to the loss of network connectivity between some or all nodes in the cluster, or a failover of the witness disk. Run the Validate a Configuration wizard to check your network configuration. If the condition persists, check for hardware or software errors related to the network adapter. Also check for failures in any other network components to which the node is connected such as hubs, switches, or bridges. On one occassion the service managed to restart itself, on another it did not and caused the Information Store service to terminate at the same time. At all times the File Share Witness server has remained connected and operational. We are running Exchange 2010 SP1 UR2 on Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise. Any ideas why the service keeps crashing? Cheers Adam.

James, The file share witness is on a physical box and is running Node and File Share Majority Quorum Configuration. EXBPA shows nothing wrong NIC drives are the latest version available already I will disable the TCP chimney offload and monitor the situation to see if occurs again. Cheers Adam.
