Client receiving multiple "Read Receipts" at the same time
I have a client who for some reason received over 200 "Read Receipts" (Yes, she did request these) within a 10 minute span. The receipts are all older as well, almost as if they were being queued up forever, and for some reason decided to release at 9:30 this morning. Does anyone have an idea what would cause this or where I can look for some more clues? I checked the Message Tracking Center on the Exchange server andit does indicate that these receipts were sent out to that particular user at that time. So it appears that it is an Exchange issue. Just not sure why Exchange would hold onto Read Receipts for one particular user, then decide to let go all at once.

Clarify: A user got 200 required read receipt at the same time, the receipts all belong toold mails
Known cause: corrupted PST file, usually its a large PST file
Resolution: Run Scanpst against PST file or delete the bad messages
Collect info:
1. Confirm version: exchange, outlook
2. How old these receipts are? Can you tell when these receipts have been submitted by message tracking?
3. Didnt affected user receive these old receipts before?
4. Are they all from a same sender or randomly from all different users? Are all senders belonging to internal users or including external as well?
Troubleshooting:
1. Check the application log in the affected users pc
2. Use affected users outlook to send a test mail and require for receipt, check the result
