Client configuration after migrating to Exchange Server 2010
Hello I have a project coming up to upgrade an Exchange 2003 to Exchange 2010. There are over a hundred clients in the domain all using Outlook 2003. My question is that as the Exchange 2010 server cannot have the same name as the old server, how would the clients connect after the transition is done? Would I have to manually reconfigure each client to point it to the Exchange 2010?

Nope. Move the mailboxes and leave the old server online for a couple of weeks to allow for vacationers etc. to get back to work. Make sure that your CAS has a trusted certificate on it otherwise Outlook will get antsy about the communication. Create a test account and mailbox then make sure that every method of communication works without error and youre ok. "Dipam Patel" wrote in message news:52983a53-f653-44de-9eee-7edf5328157d...
