Client Access server?
I plan to deploy an Exchange 2007 server with an additional Edge server in our DMZ. We are behind a CISCO firewall. We do not have an ISA server. Should I put a Client Access server in the in the DMZ or run that role on the internal server. The only thing the Client Access server will be doing is OWA. Which is the better option and why? thanks

Hello, Client Access server in a perimeter network is not supported by Microsoft, check a note in below article... Planning for Client Access Servers http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb232184.aspx You need to publish CAS using application-aware or application-layer firewall, here is a good discussion about it CAS In DMZ Redux: Time For an OWA Appliance? http://exchangepedia.com/blog/2007/05/cas-in-dmz-redux-time-for-owa-appliance.html
