Client Access Problem
Hi There, I have just deployed an Exchange 2010 server into an already existing Exchange 2007 environment. The new server is in a different site in the organization and all mail is routed through the 2007 server. I am having an issue whereby mailboxes that have been moved to the new server cannot be accessed through OWA or POP3 when the user is trying to access it from outside of the network. How can I configure the environment in such a way that clients can access their email through the same CAS server as before even though the mailbox has moved onto a different server. Thanks, Steven

What is the error you are getting? Did you installed the cert on 2010?Gulab | MCITP: Exchange 2010-2007 | Skype: Gulab.Mallah | Blog: www.ExchangeRanger.Blogspot.com

The cert is installed. I am testing with a blackberry at the moment and there I am getting a logon failure.

What about OWA and Outlook Anywhere? Keep in mind that by default Outlook Anywhere is Disabled on the server. Check if its enabled or not.Gulab | MCITP: Exchange 2010-2007 | Skype: Gulab.Mallah | Blog: www.ExchangeRanger.Blogspot.com

Hi, From the problem description, I understand that the scenario is E2k7 and E2k10 mixed environment, all the mails are routed through E2k7 server. And Ek27 and E2k10 are in different sites. I know the Exchange server 2007 is the only one Internet-facing server. It’s normal that the users on the Exchange server 2010 are unable to access through OWA. Because low version (E2k7) is unable to proxy or redirect to high version (E2k10). It’s by design. We need to publish the Exchange 2010 CAS server as the Internet-facing server.
