Cleanup of the DeliveredTo table
Exchange 2003 SP2 Hi, were having problems where we get Event ID:9791; Cleanup of the DeliveredTo table for database 'First Storage Group\300MB Limit Users' was pre-empted because the database engine's version store was growing too large. 0 entries were purged. a few times a day on all 3 of our stores. It follows up with Event ID 623; Information Store (3424) First Storage Group: The version store for this instance (0) has reached its maximum size of 155Mb. It is likely that a long-running transaction is preventing cleanup of the version store and causing it to build up in size. Updates will be rejected until the long-running transaction has been completely committed or rolled back. Possible long-running transaction: SessionId: 0xBD330E80 Session-context: 0x00000000 Session-context ThreadId: 0x00001368 Cleanup: 1 and users get login failures in outlook 2003 until this gets cleared. It lasts for about 10 minutes each time and then clears itself. I ran eseutil /g and ISINTEG -S Servername -FIX -TEST ALLTESTS on all 3 stores but the problem continues. I see in KB919417 ; http://support.microsoft.com/kb/919417 that there is a fix for this specific error but in the article it shows versions 6.5.7651.34, we are currently at 6.5.7654.12 .. Does this hotfix still apply to us or is it already included in 6.5.7654.12? I don't want to make the problem worse but going back versions.. Please help with any input you may have before I go nuts! thanks

I know this is an old post but, we are also experiencing the same issue. Our file versions are also 6.5.7654.12. We contacted Microsoft support, but their only suggestions were to either migrate all mailboxes to a new storage group, or run offline maintenance and defragmentation. After migrating some of our mailboxes, we still had the error appear on the new storage group.
