We just implemented a VoIP system that has the capability to deliver voicemail to our Inboxes. The question has come up if there is a way to remove the voicemail attachments after so many days (these are saved as MP3 files). I have looked into the Records Management for our Exchange 2007 server but I cannot find a solution. Is there a way to remove attachments that are MP3 that are 'x' number days old? Thanks!

Hi Jeff, I know you are only want to delete MP3 attachment and not a mail, But if you want to delete mail item, You can use Export-Mailbox with -AttachmentFilenames and –DeleteContent switches to delete messages from all the mailboxes. You can dump all mail item in a target mailbox. I did look at using MRM (and the suggested tutorial) to do this but it looks like I could only remove mail based on age. I want to be able to remove based on attachment type and age.
