Clarification on Exchange 2007 to 2010 Schema preparation
Hello, I ran the Exchange 2010 Pre-deployment analyzer in the child domain that houses our Exchange 2007 server and it reported that the Exchange 2010 schema extensions were present and that the active directory supports Exchange 2010 servers. I want to verify that I don't need to prepare other child domains where Exchange 2010 servers will not be installed but which will hold Exchange 2010 mailbox users and mail-enabled users. Thanks

There is a way to verify it, but it's probably a lot easier to just run Setup.com /PrepareAllDomains if you can use an account that has rights. This document explains the process, and from it you should be able to see what you can look for to see if the domain has been prepped. http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb125224.aspxEd Crowley MVP "There are seldom good technological solutions to behavioral problems."
