Checking MAPI connectivity after store dismount
Hi We are running Exchange 2003 and 2007. Recently we had a situation where a store dismounted due to excess transaction logs. Once they had been moved, we remounted the store again. Question was, how can we test whether users could access their mailbox on that store? Is there any way to test MAPI connectivity without having a mailbox on there that we could access? Question applies to both E2003 and E2007.

In Exchange 2003 ESM , Navigate to Administrative groups\...\servers\your_server\your_storage_group\mailbox_store & select logons tabs , here you can see connected mailboxes .. for more granularity select ADD/Remove columns d you can view sessions

For Exchange 2007 you can use the test-mapiconnectivity cmdlet. For Exchange 2003, you can't. You can see if there are logons to the database in the ESM, though.
