Check Exchange server is installation and version
Hello,
I have a requirement to detect whether Exchange is installed or not in the host and if installed what is the version of exchange like 2003/2007/2010.
Can I detect using any registry keys ?

Hi Inmar,
If you want to check by registry key, please follow this path:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > Microsoft > ExchangeServer > ClientAccessRole or MailboxRole

Thanks Rowen.
In our Exchange 2010 environment we have the key as
"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > Microsoft > ExchangeServer > v14 > ClientAccessRole or MailboxRole"
How do I know whether Exchange 2010/2007/2003/... is installed and read respective keys ?
Thanks
Inmar

Hi Inmar,
From my test environment,
Exchange 2007 should be
"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > Microsoft > ExchangeServer > v8 > ClientAccessRole or MailboxRole"
Exchange 2003 has not this key.
Thanks.Rowen
