Check Exchange-Domain Controller connectivity
Hi Everyone I have heard that sometimes there can be errors with Exchange accessing Domain Controllers using DS Access. Luckily, we've never had that, but I wanted to know what the best solution would be if we did. Since we are using Exchange 2007, is anyone aware of a Powershell commandlet that we can run on Exchange that can test DC connectivity? I'm thinking more advanced that PING? For instance, there is the Test-MAPIConnectivity cmdlet to check whether a user's mailbox can be accessed via MAPI fine - something along those levels?

If Exchange can't talk to a domain controller, you will know about it - as Exchange will be dead in the water. However in all of my time working with Exchange, I haven't heard of any issues in general with DC access which were not caused by poor design or failure of hardware, system crash etc. Simon.Simon Butler, Exchange MVP Blog | Exchange Resources
