Changing the exchange service account password on 2003??
I'm trying to find out what is involved in changing the Exchange Service Account password in Exchange Server 2003. I don't want to corrupt the Information Stores or shut them down accidentally. Can somebody please let me know if there is more to do than just change the service account password in Active Directory? Thank you, Julian Engel

Exchange 200x is difference with Exchange55,Exchange 200x do not have service account. Exchange 200x all service start with Local System account. That's means you can change any account password and it will not let exchange 200x service stop or DB shutdown. Note:Ifstill have exchange 55 in your exchange 2003 ORG(mix mode),you still nedd flow this article to change the service account password How to change the service account password
