Changing domain name
What affect does changing the domain name have on the exchange organization?

Hi, I M confused that what you want to do 01. do you like to change your smtp domain if yes than add accepted domain in your exchange server 02. or do you want to change your AD name if so than 2008 supported for changing name of AD refer to the documentation. AD domain name. I understand it is not supported with 2010 exchange.

Hi I wouldn't do that, instead I would plan for a migration to a new domain Even if it maybe works to rename the domain, it's unsupported and means that if you have any trouble you can't receive the necessary help. It is not supported in Exchange 2007 or 2010, I have personal experience in 2007 trying to rename and it doesn't work. Take a look at the following blog post as well. http://www.wapshere.com/missmiis/renaming-a-2003-ad-domain-that-has-exchange-2007 The only option would be to uninstall exchange, change the domain name and then reinstall.
