I'm a newbie to exchaneg though I am very proficient in most Windows applications. I have been having problems with my outgoing smtp server, which i believe is due to my hosting provider (the exchange server is locally hosted at my office). I have the option of using my ISP, Road Runner, to send out emails. Can someone walk me through the steps to do so?Also, there is the possibility of a trojan or bot on the network. I have scanned and cleaned most of the pcs so far. Is there a free anti-spyware/trojan program I can use for the servers? I have Norton on it but it doesn't seem to catcth the Spyware stuff like some of the free stuff, like the Spyware Doctor free edition or Malwarebytes.

You can most certainly set a SmartHost on your Exchange Server, I assume this is an Exchange 2003 Server? Here is great link on how to do that, http://support.microsoft.com/kb/821911. If this is an SBS 2003 Server, then re-run CEICW in the SBS Admin Console to input the Smarthost. Its not free but I highly recommend Trend Micro's Worry Free Security product which can eliminate/prevent Spyware/Adware.

Again, newbie here. What do you mean by CEICW in the SBS Admin Console. Can you walk me through the steps more carefully?Also, would it be better to route the emails this way?

One other question. My ISP is telling me the mail server is sending out spam. I have scanned with Norton and Malwrebytes and it finds nothing. He tells me it looks like its the mail server since the smtp server is mine that is sending it out. Any advice on how to see where the problem is and fix it?

Also, my ISP keeps telling me I'm sedning out Spam and thinks its from the actual mail server. We have the latest Norton Ednpoint Portection and I have run scans with that, MalwareBytes and nothing comes up. Any way to narrow it down?

I went through the webcast and it appears that it is not set up to relay, yet my ISP keeps saying I'm sending out spam. What do I do next?It also had an extra ip address in the relay section, that is my file server where Symantec Endpoint is located. However the part of Norton i use fo Anti-spam is installed locally and not on the file server. Could this be a flag?
