Change text direction in cross-platform flowchart

Visio 2010 Standard Edition

Hi all,

How do I change the text direction in a horizontal swimlane shape? The text in the first column is vertically aligned and I would like this to be horizontally displayed.

Also, if I copied a cylindrical timeline from a different to a cross-platform page, it looses all its formatting such as milestones, font, etc.. I tried different options available under 'paste', but I still didn't get the original one. Is there a way I can copy all the items created in a different to a file that has a cross-platform flowchart?

Thanks,

Hi Avinash.Rao,

For your question 1, you can go to DEVELOPER tab and select Protection option, please uncheck Rotation as shown in the following figure.

Then Select the shape you want to change text direction, and go to Home, and select Rotate Text as shown in the following figure:

For your question 2, please try this method:
1) Right-click on the pasted shape
2) Point to Format, and then
3) Select Remove Theme.
The original formatting will return.

Hope it's helpful.
