Change default value msExchRequireAuthToSendTo to false for new distribution groups
Since exchange 2007 when creating a new distribution group you will get the checkbox "Require that all users are authenticated" set to true. If you want external email addresses to use this DL you have to uncheck this value to false. Is it possible to change the default setting for this value msExchRequireAuthToSendTo to be set to false when creating a new distribution group in Exchange Management Console (EMC) 2007 SP2?

Use Powershell to create groups instead of EMC and you can set it to false when creating the groups in one swoop.

Well, you could create a template, but thats again the same using powershell and setting it there. I dont think there is a way to have it default it a way that you are looking for however via EMC. http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb125152(EXCHG.80).aspx
