Change contact info in exchange 2007 via outlook client
We are using exchange 2007, is there any way to give a user rights to update the exchange user information stored in the global address list using his outlook 2007 interface?if not is there any way to do it without direct access to the exchange server? Thanks

No, you cant do that in exchange 2007. Exchange 2010 is on the way to do this from OWA.Raj

There is no native support in Exchange 2007. In Exchange 2010 there is. Unfortunately GALMOD32.EXE does not work with Exchange 2007 (it did with Exchange 5.5 to 2003). Two third-party tools I know of http://www.directory-update.com/http://www.dirwiz.com/profiler/For Exchange 2010OWA- Exchange Control Panel (ECP)-Part2-featureshttp://www.exchange-genie.com/2009/08/owa-exchange-control-panel-ecp-part2-features/See also this link:http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/exchangesvrgeneral/thread/98f6418b-e190-4291-81e5-0c7af92f557b MCTS: Messaging | MCSE: S+M | Small Business Specialist
