Change Exchange 2010 IP to a different network/subnet
How would I go about doing this? What are the necessary steps in doing it? (change IP/Network, update DNS, update DAG IP, update IIS bindings etc..) Thanks, JonathanF-

If the changing of the IP adress does not end in renaming the Exchangeserver that it will work. But please don´t rename your Exchange Server. After updating the DNS entries please claer the DNS chache on the DNS Server and on the Client (ipconfig /flushdns) regards Thomas Paetzold visit my blog on: http://sus42.wordpress.com

Thanks for the reply, we are not planning on renaming our exchange servers, the name will stay but the IP's will change. We just want to move it to a different subnet to reduce broadcast.

Once you change your IP address you will want to do an IPConfig /flushdns and IPConfig /registerdns. take a look at the following (5 things to consider when changing the IP address of an Exchange Server) http://www.zerohoursleep.com/2010/01/5-things-to-consider-when-changing-the-ip-of-an-exchange-server/Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question. This is not a new information. I wrote you have to clean the DNS cache on client and Server. Youwrite only some commands without telling what they are doing. regards Thomas Paetzold visit my blog on: http://sus42.wordpress.com
