Change Availability Service URL that Outlook 2010 Client Connects to
Is it possible to force Outlook 2010 to connect to a different url for it's availability service? We have three Exchange 2007 (SP3 RU3) servers all installed with MBX/HUB/CAS roles. Two of the servers are our production servers and one is our DR server (we're using SCR to keep it updated) and when I run a AutoConfiguration test (ctrl + right-click on Outlook icon) on my machine the ASUrl, OOFURL and EWSURL all come back showing as the DR server rather than one of the production servers. Is there anyway to force outlook to connect to a different server? Thanks

Change the URLs to point to the server you want: Check the URLs listed in this KB under the resolution section and set them as required: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/940726 ( Yes this KB isnt your issue, but the URLs it references are the ones you want to change) On the DR server, you can set the Autodiscover URLs to point to the production server rather then itself. Make sense?

Thanks for the helpful link A_D. Seems pretty straight forward and should be easy enough to do. Quick question for you. If the OAB and the UM URL's are always correct do you think I need to change the OAB and UM InternalURL's on the DR server as well? Thanks!

I would verify they are set to the server you want to connect to, yes. If not, change as well!
