Certificate name issue
Greetings,(Exchange 2007 Standard x64 single server model+outlook 2007 and Entourage 2004 Clients)I purchased a SSL cert that is named webmail.company.com, so my outlook 2007 clients are getting a certificate warning because this does not match the server name. I located a precedure to fix this here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/940726My questions are:What do I need to backup before making the changes to the autodiscovery URL via the Exchange Management Shell? For example, are there specific registry key I can export in case the change does not work or can I somehow restore the settings to default? Also, can anyone tell me how changing the autodiscover URL might affect my Entourage clients? I would hate to fix my Outlook clients and hose my Entourage clients...(Owner of the company is a devoted Mac guy. :( )Thank you!~Eric Weiner

Hi,There is not a real method to backup the settings. What you can do is the following, before you make the changes run the following commands:get-ClientAccessServerget-WebServicesVirtualDirectoryget-OABVirtualDirectoryget-UMVirtualDirectoryCopy and paste the content to Wordpad or something, then make the changes. But as mentioned in the KB article it's almost the following:https://NetBIOS_name.internaldomain.local/Regards,Johanblog: www.johanveldhuis.nl

OK thank you for responding. I think the Macs may work better with the auto url the same as the certificate too, but that may have to go in a mac forum...
