Certificate issue - Changed Domain

Hello Everyone,

Thanks for reading my question.

We have a mail server that used to be hosted as (example) mail.orgmail.com. A few years, the company changed the registration to mail.org-inc.us

Currently, we are set up to use mail.org-inc.us as a proxy for their mail clients to connect to orgmail.domain.local, which throws up a certificate error, since the certificate is registered as the new name, org-inc.us... when outlook sees that the actual server name is orgmail.

How can I set this up to where we wont receive certificate errors? I'm positive renaming the server would be a catastrophe, I'm just wanting to remain careful.

This is a situation where I think you need to use the split-dns model.  I would make all your internalurls to be the same as your externalurls and make sure when you resolve mail.org-inc.us it resolves to an internal ip as opposed to your external ip.

I will give that a shot and report back. Thank you for the timely response!
