Certificate Based Authentication Exchange Server 2013?

Hi,

There is a note in the URL of your posting:

Exchange Server 2013 Cumulative Update 5 and later supports certificate-based authentication with ActiveSync.

The certificate-based authentication configuration is similar with the configuration in Exchange 2010:

I saw the note that says CU5 supports certificate based authentication, but I already knew that, so the note didn't add anything useful.

I don't know how "similar" it is.  If it is identical, they should say so, and if there are any differences, that should be pointed out.

I don't understand why they don't just update the instructions since Exchange Server 2013 is the current version.  Most other Exchange Server documentation except this has been updated for Server 2013.

I can't find setup information specific to Exchange Server 2013.  I only see information for 2010.

Has Microsoft or anyone else posted step by step instructions for setting up certificate based authentication for Exchange Server 2013 or have any Exchange Server 2013 books been released or updated in the last few months that include the steps needed to set up Activesync CBA from scratch in an Exchange Server 2013 environment?

Winnie

there are several instructions missing as Exchange 2013 has very different management features than Ex2010.

Is there updated documentation available for this, certificate based authentication on Exchange 2013?

What are examples of missing information?

We would like to roll this out, but we can't start this until we have complete instructions that we know will work for Exchange 2013.

It's just unbelievably frustrating that Microsoft still has not updated their documentation to include instructions on setting up and configuring certificate based authentication for Exchange 2013.

Most of their other Exchange documentation is updated to 2013 by default, but just not this key piece.

Why is this?
