Cant open Exchange performance pounters and missing diagnostic properties
I am having an issue with a new install of Exchange 2010 sp1 R3 install on BOTH servers BOTH servers have ALL roles installed Whenever i go into Perfmon and expand an Exchange Performance Counter it says " Can't load counters" Also, when ever i go into "Manage Diagnostic Logging Properties" in the Exchange 2010 EMC, it comes up with a limited list. The list includes MSExchangeFDS MSExchangeIS MSexchangeMailboxAssistants MSExcahngeMailSubmission MSExchangeSA MSExchangeThrottling MSExchangeTransport Thats is, missing a bunch of others... Any help to get these things to work? Thank you

Hi Skalinator, Since you cannot follow document given by Leif to reload performance counters on Exchange 2010. I suggest you follow these steps to collect more information for us: 1.Check the event log, whether there is any error in it. 2.Run Exbpa to do a health check for your Exchange Sever 2010. Please help us to collect more information and paste in your next post, with this information, we can help you more efficiently. Hence why i said, "i was hoping that would do the trick, still same issue". Pretty clear. In anycase, i could not wait any longer so i called microsoft. The solution? One simple command. "lodctr /R" run from the command line as administrator .... This Reloads all perf counters. Worked for both servers. As far as my other issue with "Diagnostic Logging Properties" Installing Rollup 4 seemed to "Refresh" the properties and they all appear now. I have a feeling if i RE applied Rollup 3 it would have also fixed the issue.
