Cannot send mail to hotmail (sort of..)
I am trying to finish setup/deployment on our new exchange 07 server and I can't send messages to hotmail from legacy clients (eg. our Sales software CRM (main problem), Outlook Express, etc...). I review my smtp logs and hotmail says the message has been relayed. (it isn't ending up in my junk e-mail folder) When I use Outlook (office) or OWA the mail ends up in my hotmail mailbox just fine. I am not getting any NDR report back from hotmail, nor am I getting anything to the postmaster box. I have setup proper RDNS, DNS, MX, SPF records for the mail server, and the domain identity matches the outgoing address. In order to send mail from my our 'legacy' CRM software I had to setup a new receive connector that trusted the lan address as I cannot authenticate against the exchange server properly -- but all in all that seems to be working okay. I have sent e-mail from this account to e-mail test sites like www.mailservertest.net and they got the e-mail. If anyone has any suggestions please advise.
